There is a good chance you have a piece sitting in a drawer right now. A ring with a bent prong you keep meaning to deal with, a necklace with a broken clasp, a band that has not fit in years. The repair is almost always easier and faster than you expect. Here is what to know before you bring it in.
How long does jewelry repair take?
Most jewelry repairs take about two weeks. Some quick fixes, like a watch battery, we can do while you wait. When you drop your piece off, we will give you a realistic timeline based on the actual work it needs, and we will keep you updated so you are never left wondering.
What can you repair?
Quite a lot, and we do it right here at our own bench. That includes ring sizing, retipping and rebuilding worn prongs, tightening loose stones, replacing stones that have fallen out, restringing pearls, rhodium plating white gold so it looks bright and new again, chain and clasp repair, and engraving. If you are not sure whether something can be saved, bring it in and we will tell you honestly.
Do you repair watches?
We replace watch batteries in the store, usually while you wait. For more involved watch repairs, we send those out to trusted specialists, so the timing on those can vary. Either way, stop in and we will let you know what your watch needs.
Can you restore an old or heirloom piece?
Yes, and it is some of our favorite work. If you have a ring from your grandmother or a piece that holds a lot of meaning but has seen better days, bring it in. We will talk through what is possible, whether that is a careful repair or reimagining it into something you will wear every day.
Do I need an appointment?
No. You are welcome to walk in during store hours and we will take a look. If you would rather set aside dedicated time, you can make an appointment online.
